Soft Crochet Hooks

Soft Crochet Hooks
Sew Pro Crafts has excellent reviews for their customer service

The Clover Soft Touch hooks are aluminum with a resin handle. Each is 5″ in length, from the hook’s tip to the handle’s bottom – no matter the hook size.

The hook shaft is about 1.5″ in length, leaving you 3.5″ for the grip. The Clover ergonomic crochet hooks soft touch is exceptionally lightweight.

It almost feels as if you’re crocheting with nothing at all, especially when paired with the super smooth steel-tipped metal of the hook’s shaft.

Comparisons

Crochet Hooks Similar In Style Clover Soft Touch

You might find rip-offs of the Clover Soft Touch. I came across some online that were all plastic, not the aluminum head. It’s unlikely these lesser-known hooks stand up to the quality of the Clover Brand.

Clover Soft Touch Vs. Clover Amure Crochet Hook Set

The Clover Soft Touch Steel Crochet set and Clover Amure Crochet Hook Set are both sets of the finer crochet hook sizes.

The Soft Touch set has the ergonomic handles, as described above. They are made from resin with a slightly cushioned thumb rest. The hooks are gold color coated aluminum. The handles are flatter than the Amure set.

The sizes they come in are Size 0 (1.75mm), Size 2 (1.50mm), Size 4 (1.25mm), Size 6 (1.00mm), Size 8 (0.90mm), Size 10 (0 .75mm), Size 12 (0 .60mm), & Size 14 ( 0.50mm).

The Clover Amure Crochet Hook set has a 3D ergonomic Elastomer handle and the hooks are aluminum. They come in sizes 2mm, 2.3mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 6 mm.

Both hook styles are tapered.

Clover Soft Touch Vs. Tulip Etimo

The Tulip Etimo differs from the Clover Soft Touch in the following ways:

  • The handle is longer and made of elastomer.
  • The handle is rounded in shape.
  • The hook’s throat, the section closer to the handle’s beginning, is larger in diameter.

Hopefully, this post helps you find an excellent clover crochet hook to help you comfortably crochet for longer.

If you’re looking for something with bamboo, clover bamboo crochet hooks or clover Tunisian crochet hooks would suit.
