Boye Ergonomic Crochet Hook Handle

Boye Ergonomic Crochet Hook Handle

This is a rather unique product from Boye, enabling you to put a soft ergonomic handle on any regular crochet hook.

It works like this. Put the right sized washer on the hook, this stops it from sliding around when you’re using it.

You twist it open and put the bottom of the hook into the blue part of the item. At the top of the green parts, there’s a hole where the top of the hook comes through. Twist it back closed.

Features

  • Fits Hook Sizes From B/2Mm To K/6.5Mm

Pros

  • Fits any brand of crochet hook
  • Comfortable
  • Affordable
  • You don’t have to buy specially designed ergonomic crochet hooks

Cons

  • Doesn’t last long
  • Sometimes you can’t get the washers off the hook to use on another one

  1. I bought a set of these crochet hooks, love them! But now I have several that are turning in the soft rubber handle. Is there anyway I can fix it from turning in the rubber handle?

    • Hi Cynthia. How frustrating! I have done a little research and some people have tried removing the hook from the handle and then put some strong adhesive glue on the end of the hook and reinserting it into the handle. They mentioned it was a bit of a struggle. If your hooks can be returned to where you bought them, explaining your situation you may be able to get a replacement. Let me know how you get on. Cheers Jodie
