What Is A Circular Crochet Hook?
A circular crochet hook is a type of hook used for Tunisian crochet. They have a flexible cable that is joined to a hook on each end.
As a crocheter, I’m always looking for new ways to up my game. That’s why I was so excited when I learned about circular crochet hooks!
In the past, I’d use my regular hook. I’d work in rounds by taking the hook out and beginning again for each row. With circular hooks, I don’t have to! Instead, I keep going all the way around.
They’re great for working Tunisian crochet (using a stitch like the Tunisian knit stitch) as these are a kind of Tunisian crochet hooks.
What Are Circular Crochet Hooks For?
A circular crochet hook is for Tunisian crochet in the round. Tunisian or afghan stitch creates a different effect than regular crochet.
You can also use them to crochet large Tunisian projects, such as blankets or afghan. (There are multiple stitches on the hook at any time when crocheting Tunisian.)
The beauty of the flexible cable in between means you can hold lots of stitches beyond the length of a normal double ended crochet hook.
These hooks come in a crochet hooks set that means you get more sizes.
